I don’t understand why is this keep happening on the minority? It is so unfair to us and we are forced to do what we are not interested in doing. We are given the choices of having a vacation with our club members in Taman Negara or Tioman Island. Since the trip to Taman Negara is RM100 cheaper than trip to Tioman Island plus Taman Negara is fully-guided and the activities are more exciting, most of us choose to go Taman Negara. However, since the majority of club members vote to go Tioman Island, eventually, our dream to pay a visit to Taman Negara is destroyed, yet, we never complain and just let it be.
The committee starts to prepare for the trip and ask the members who are interested in going to Tioman Island pay for the fees. Now, something happens. There are not enough people to make a trip to Tioman Island. There are only 30++ of them and none of us is in the list since the place that we have selected to go is Taman Negara. But due to this phenomenon, we are claimed to be racist, not socialized, ego, self-centred, don’t want to mingle aroung with others, but this is not true. We have no interested in going to Tioman Island, then why should we go? But they don’t understand. They continue to have this mindset on us and they force us to go to Tioman Island. We have to pay for a trip that we will be going there so unwillingly. Why are we the one who should filled up the empty space in the trip? How about those who have voted to Tioman Island. They have chosen the place so they should go. And how come they will have not enough people going to Tioman since the majority of the club members have voted for Tioman?
Do you see the whole problem here? We are the one to be blamed because we are minority and probably because of our attitude towards them in daily life. But we are not that arrogant, self-centered as what they think. We are just quiet and don’t have much to talk to them. Besides, it is not only us, they also did the same thing to us. Why when we do the same thing to each other and the only one who get complain is us only?WHY ?
