Life in Kbu and Petaling jaya!

Overall, i am still quite satisfied with my life in kbu and PJ ! basically, i have classes from monday till friday.Everday, classes commence on 9am but they end at different time everyday. There are van to pick me up every morning, arond 8.25am to go to school and at 5.30pm to pick me back to student house...however, most of the days my classes finish before 5.30pm, so my housemates@classmates and i choose to fo home by walking...20 minutes of walk and we will be able to reach home with sweaty shirts on our bodies and drops and drops of perspire drip down from our oily hairs....

From monday till friday, thursday or probably wednesday is my most free time as i only have a two and the half hours class on that day...usually, i will went for window shopping with my housemates at the shopping mall nearest to my house -- One Utama shopping mall ! a really massive and lavish shopping mall....sometimes we go there for window shopping, occasionally, we will spend a little bit more cash on some tantalising food....Jusco in 1U is also a nice place to visit...we usually buy our daily products there....but for groceries, we will usually purchase them at tesco....a bit further away from my house but it is worth to do so because the things there are much more cheaper...

basically, that's my life in PJ...in school, currently i am quite busy, busy on gathering infomation on current issues and to improve my english...i am reading out-of-date newspaper, novels and reader digest almost everyday..it's quite tiring but i need to put some effort in enhancing my english in order to score a minimum band of 8.0 in my IELTs test which will be held at the end of this year...the higher i score, the easier for me to get a place in Australia University.if i score less than 8.0, then i have to resit the exam....for the retake exam, we as a JPA scholar has to pay ourselves....so you know how much it costs? RM 500++ ! so, now you know how desperate am I now!

Time for me to learn cooking!

yesterday, my housemates and i went to jusco to buy induction cooker and rice cooker!we had made the decision of purchasing them because we can't be going out for breakfast, lunch and dinner every weekend!it is tiring to walk from student house to centrepoint for our meals! not only we feel hot walking under the scorching sun, it is a waste of time as we usually take about 20min to reach centrepoint!

so, with the induction cooker and rice cooker, we can settle our six meals on every weekend!however, of course we need to prepare the food and cook them by ourselves!we become the chef!wo hoo!i like it!this is the time for me to learn cooking without having any guide or fhep from our professional cook--mum!

today, i was the first one to start using the induction cooker.quite nervous but excited too at the same time.i waited for my chinese housemates to leave the house first then only i started cooking!i am shy to show them my cooking skill!hehe!i prepared the egg, put margerine on two slices of bread, then i started heating up the cooker!WOW!it was going to begin!deng deng deng deng!HOld On!it should be the bread first!luckily i hadn't pour in the egg!ok, the bread was done!now the egg!chaah......!the egg in the cooker already!what's next?aiya!the egg remained in liduid form!probably the cooker is not hot enough !nevermind!increase the temperature!yea!it finally stared to change to solid form!now was the time to overturn the egg to cook the other side of the egg!OH NO!it splitted into more than two pieces!nevermind!this was not a ccoking competition. ... ... yeah!finally, i did it!bread with fried egg!

while i was cooking, my malay housemates came down for their breakfast....i offered them my service in preparing breakfast for them!i was glad that they accept my offer....haha!actually i offered them because i wanna learn cooking and at the same time, get some opinion on my cooking skill...hehe!it sounds like i was not offering them sincerely but i was not doing something bad.....they got free breakfast leh!

English speaking session..

Today morning, the first period was going to be english..i was so nervous since yesterday because today teacher was going to do a introduce yourself session...my english is bad...i can speak but i can't speak in a very formal way....i hate formal thing as it is too squarish...

i waited and waited, finally it's my turn...i was scared and nervous when teacher mention it's my turn....my heartbeat shot up abruptly but somehow, i got to cool myself down when i sat in front of teacher...i didn't really memorise the answer and i answered teacher's questions on the spot...my answers were quite short which would actually pull my marks down ....but i didn't know how to elaborate them as my mind was blank for that instant...i couldn't think properly and i made a lot of grammar mistakes...

i think i had done very badly for my first speaking "test"....but my friends think i had done it quite well...i dunnoe!i am not satisfied with my performance...i am scared...how am i supposed to improve my speaking? all my friends are speaking mandarin with me...i seldom have chance to practice speaking in english....i am scared...i am scared my english do not improved after 6 months training...i only have 6 months time to improve....i am scared i can't pass my IELTs...how?how?

African, Japanese, Taiwanese...

Kbu international college!the word " international" means it....African, Japanese, Taiwanese... ...there are students from all over the world study in this college...This is something new to me but it doesn't scare me away but i find it very interesting...i enjoy having my meal in cafeteria, not because of the food, but i got to enjoy observing students from every corner of the earth....

College life is no longer like primary school and secondary school life...there'is no uniform...not really much rules to follow and even the way we learn and the way that teacher teach is absolutely different...however, the last point is not the topic that i wanna discuss with you guys now but the first and second points...

NO UNIFORM!that's good and i like it...you can wear whatever you want...jeans, T-shirt will do when you go for lecture...that's what i do...but for foreign students, since there are more open-minded, most of them wear sexyly to college...tight mini skirts, singlets, tubes, 低胸衣, shorts, and so on....they also put on 5 inch high-heeled shoes, boots....colourful-dyed hair, weird but attractive hair styles...yea!that's what they look like in this college...not only students have no restriction on shirts, lecturers can wear freely too...when you walk pass anyone in this college, you can't tell whether they are student or lecturer by their look...students and lecturers are about the same age..no disciplin teachers in college...so students are free to do anything they like in cluding smoking in the cafeteria, dating in the school and play truant...no one will ask you not to do this not to do that, just that you need to bare the consequences of every single act of you...

so, this is how a college looks like.! FREEDOM!it sounds good to me but i will make sure i don't miss use it !

i am KBU international college student now!

As you guys are informed, currently i am studying in Kota Bandar Utama(KBU) international college!not a very big school actually. You can see the whole college building by one glance....yet, i like this college although i have just been here for one week plus plus....this college is small but the contractor manage to squeeze in one foorbal field in this college....can you imagine how big is a soccer field?

Kbu international college has a very strategic position in kota damansara utama....there is a centre called "centre point" near KBU....there are many shops there including Secret Recipes, GUardian, clinics, supermarket, Starbucks, Baskin Robins and so on.....just beside the Centre Point, there is a 24-hour McD...so, it is actually very convenient to study in KBU...you will never hungry unless you choose not to eat or you have not enough money....money is very important!but you can always go to the atm to withdraw money...there is a CIMB bank near centre point!if you are lazy to walk back to centrepoint to take your meal, you can always visit Old Town Kopitiam which is just next to CIMB bank!

centre point is actually KBU hostel too!but i am staying there currently!i stay in student house, which is a two and the half storey terrace house....for your information, bandar utama is actually quite a luxurious residential areas...the student house that i am staying worth RM 850,000.00!haha!i am so lucky to be asked to stay in student house!morever, i got the master bedroom!the biggest room in the house!but of course, i am not living alone there!i am sharing the room with three more friends. There are from Kelantan, Penang and Kajang...we are getting along quite well together!we are taking the same course too- ausmat and architecture !
